Brandon Medical Celebrate Awards Success

Brandon Medical, the Leeds based medical technology specialist, is celebrating after being the proud recipient of three prestigious awards.

Designing and manufacturing medical lighting and healthcare devices found in surgeries, clinics and hospitals throughout the world, the product range includes operating theatre lights, surgical lights, medical AV systems, control & power supplies and medical architectural equipment.

The British Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 12th annual Chamber Awards this year, and Brandon Medical is the regional winner of its Small Business of the Year. As the Mid Yorkshire winners, the innovative Leeds firm will be entered into the national final with the chance of winning a £10,000 cash prize.

It is not just the business as a whole which is being celebrated; Managing Director, Graeme Hall has been nominated and shortlisted for The Manufacturer Top 100.

The Manufacturer Top 100 is a list of the UK’s most inspiring individuals in manufacturing, as identified by readers, the wider industrial community and the public. The project aims to dispel myths surrounding manufacturing and create a platform to publicly identify dynamic leaders and innovators in the sector.Not only that; but the business has been awarded a regional Business Efficiency Award by the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards 2015. This award aims to acknowledge growth in all respects and Brandon Medical certainly aimed to impress.

The judges noted one of the great things about growing SME’s; the ability to truly involve the workforce, and in this case it was done particularly well. This led to impressive growth in people, and turnover, and good diagnosis of the issue. Huge reductions in lead times, and product launch times, impressed the judges and it was good to see international sales developing on the back of this.
